Invoices without a linked payment
Open the invoice and FIZ lists the best-matching transactions first. Pick one and FIZ links it to the invoice.
See who owes you and whom you owe. FIZ finds the payment for an invoice and, when several could match, suggests the most likely one for you to confirm with one click. FIZ exports the links to Excel with copies of the invoices.
For self-employed professionals and companies in Portugal.
Linked transactions
Partial payment
Reconciliation shows which invoices are paid, who owes you and which bank transactions still lack a document. Without it, it is easy to miss a client’s debt or lose a deduction.
FIZ compares the amount, the date and the customer or supplier name. It also recognises a payment net of withholding tax (retenção na fonte).
Invoices and bank transactionsWhen several bank transactions could match, FIZ shows the most likely one. If it is not the right one, pick another from the list.
When an invoice is paid in instalments, FIZ adds up the payments and shows what is left. When you link one transfer to several invoices, FIZ splits it, starting with the oldest.
For any period, FIZ exports to Excel your bank transactions with the invoices linked to them: one sheet per bank account and one for cash. Your accountant sees which invoice each payment settled.
Each row has the date, description, amount and category of the transaction and, next to them, the number, seller, amount and IVA of the linked invoice.
The same Excel plus the invoice copies stored in FIZ. In the table, each invoice names its file.
From a client’s or supplier’s card, FIZ exports their invoices and the payments linked to them.
Open the invoice and FIZ lists the best-matching transactions first. Pick one and FIZ links it to the invoice.
If the invoice is already in FIZ, open the transaction and pick it. If not, upload it or forward it to the @fiz.co address FIZ gives you, and FIZ looks for the right transaction. Taxes, Seg. Social, salaries and transfers between your own bank accounts need no invoice: the category FIZ suggests is enough.
FIZ groups the invoices and payments of each customer and supplier and shows what has been paid and what is left to collect or pay.
FIZ links them automatically when the amount matches, the date is close, the name matches and only one transaction fits. When several fit, FIZ suggests the most likely one. FIZ does not automatically link a partial payment or one transfer that pays several invoices: link them yourself, from the invoice or the transaction.
Yes, both ways. On an invoice, pick the transaction or transactions that pay it. On a bank transaction, pick the invoice or invoices it pays. This also links a partial payment or a transfer that pays several invoices.
Yes. On an invoice with withholding tax (retenção na fonte), the payer transfers the total minus the tax withheld. FIZ treats the invoice as paid once it finds a transaction for that amount.
It means FIZ has not found the payment yet: it may not have been made yet, may not have come in from the bank yet, or may have gone through an account not connected to FIZ. A cash payment can be recorded in FIZ and linked to the invoice.
FIZ automatically includes in reconciliation the invoices you issue in FIZ, those it imports from the AT, and those you forward to the @fiz.co address FIZ gives you or upload as PDF, PNG or JPG. FIZ imports transactions from your connected bank or from the statements you upload.
